  Sound Monitor                      SC-SM1005-4

The new Sound Monitor may be placed in a room to alert the user to sounds such as a baby's cry, an apartment door buzzer, alarm clock, oven timer, etc. The new and improved monitor features a delay circuit so that loud sounds that are very brief (door slams, etc) will not activate the monitor even if they are above the detection threshold. When the Sound Monitor detects a sound such as a baby's cry that is above the threshold, it sends a signal to any Silent Call receiver (except the Shakeup) activating the vibrator or strobe. The Sound Monitor uses two AAA alkaline batteries that will power it for several months at a time.
